Not exactly a piece of cake.....

So over the October 3rd weekend Nick and I went to Oregon for my little sisters wedding. It is crazy to think she is married now but I guess that is just the big sister talking... The wedding went very well. It rained, but hey that is Oregon for you.. Regardless of the rain though everything went well and all the pictures turned out super cute. The one thing that I think surprised me the most was how calm everyone was. Sorry heather if you read this, but I totally expected you to be much more stressed out and be a total bridezilla! :) but after spending the weekend there with all of the wedding stuff going on I came to realize that you were far from being stressed out or even a little bit anxious. I was way more of a bridezilla than you were!!! I just got stressed out so much more easy than she did. I thought the way that Heather and Keith handled everything was very calm and cool, they were fun to be around. Well I am glad that things went that way because they should be calm on their special day while everyone else runs around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to get everything done and done perfect... Much love though, I had a great time regardless of the craziness and lost sleep. I got the opportunity to make heathers wedding cake for her. I took a class at BYU-Idaho two semesters ago. Although the things I learned in this class were very helpful, I still had a hard time with his cake. I was up till like 3 the morning before because the bottom layer was being less than cooperative:) But Nick was very helpful and was a great stress coach especially at 3 am..... but he suggested that every place there was a little imperfection that I just stick a flower or something there. It worked perfectly and as long as no one looked too closely at the backside it was picture perfect:) All in all it was a fun project and I learned a lot and had a great time at her wedding.... to bad there was enough cake left over to feed a small country afterwards though if I would have known that I would have made some layers out of Styrofoam or rice krispies or something that didn't crumble quit so easily. Ha, well it was hard work not exactly a piece of cake but totally worth it.
